How much?????

Posted by Random Tuesday at 03:57 PM on May 29, 2009 Comments comments (0)

How was people's memorial day weekend?  Mine sucked.  I did not stop moving all weekend, I swear.  Saturday I got up early so I could go driving with my mom and get in some more hours of practice.  I'm so close to taking my drivers test, finally~~~!  But then we also needed to look for popsicle sticks for one of my physics projects and everybody was all out!!! *cry*  We drove to three different places before we finally found some, argh.  Then there was only a limited amount of time to shop for stuff at Ross, but my mom did buy me a few cute shirts.  Yay!

After that, for the rest of the day and most of the following Sunday I was working on either building a bridge out of popsicle sticks, or making a boat to carry two people across a high school pool.  Ughhhh, why did he have to assign so many fucking projects??????  Sunday night tho, I went to see the new X-Men movie with some friends.  It was a short break, and honestly I would have probably been better off just going home and getting some sleep, cuz I was sooo tired, but I had fun.  Then on Monday I didn't feel so good, I was either napping in bed or working on my english project that was due the next day. *sigh*

Then on Wednesday my mom and I went down to Ulta so I could use my coupon I had.  Got an Urban Decay ammo eyeshadow pallet and some Eye Potion, only to discover my fabulous 20% off coupon did not work on UD products!!!! Argh!!  So I paid almost 60 dollars for those two items.  Eesh.  They're worth it, tho.

My mom says that because school's been so stressful lately, once I get through it, she's gonna buy me a pair of shoes I really liked at Ross.  Yay~!  I love my mom! *heart*  I just hope the shoes are still there by then.  It IS Ross, afterall. >.>

Tomorrow is our physics boat thing, I hope the damn thing will make it across.  And I have to somehow get there after Japanese School and before 2 o'clock.  Then I'll be working on my Chinese presentation and U.S. History project.  Fuck.  Whatever.  Can't wait until school's over for this year.

Took BJD photos today...

So my wonderful ball-jointed doll, Alek, and I went out and ventured into my backyard for a first photoshoot.  I have much to learn about handling a camera and photographing a doll.  Point-and-shoot must become a thing of the past.  I posted a few pics to dA and they seem to be well-received so far.  I'll post the pics to this site as well, of course.

I think I seriously need to start looking into some way of learning more about photography and the limits of a dinky canon powershot like mine.  It's totally basic, not at all high quality.  Hm.  But I know I'm not ready for anything high-quality yet, and either way, I don't know if I'd maintain an interest enough for something like that.  Eitherway, I want to feel like I'm at least somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to capturing an image on camera.

Also got a bit more art out.  I posted some crappy stuff I did a few months ago and also finished up something I had left unfinished for far too long, a short Kuroshitsuji doujinshi.  I need to get to work on my art.  I've missed my past two classes, though it was due to legitimate excuses.  Urgh...

RESURRECTED!!!

Posted by Random Tuesday at 02:49 PM on May 20, 2009 Comments comments (0)

So, I swear from now on I'm going to try to be really regular in updating this site.  Honestly.  I want this site to become a total reflection of who I am.  I realize that I've not posted much at all recently, but I am totally going to fix that.  I am going to make this site interesting, even if it kills me.  Okay, maybe not to that extent, but I will try.

Anyway, here's what's been happening recently:

So this past weekend I had a bunch of friends sleep over, mainly to discuss Anime Expo and who was going as what cosplay, what did we want to do, and then it kind of turned into a little lolita photoshoot. XD We mostly wore my clothes, cuz I had the most, aside from one friend who has one dress. (And no offense to her, but it's kind of ita.  Good thing she doesn't know about my site.) My clothes aren't the best, but they're not bad. At least I think so.

The weekend before that I was at my friend's birthday party, which also involved lots of anime-loving people preparing for AX (and also Fanime) but it was much less lolita-friendly.  Not that they disliked lolita, it just... wasn't their thing.  But I still had an awesome time with them all, and discovered some pretty awesome youtube videos while at it.  Though I was rather surprised to discover at about midnight, as we were playing truth or dare, that only about a third of us (myself included) were straight. XD  WTF??  Why do girls always hit on me when I can never get a decent guy?  I have the worst luck in romance.  If I was lesbian, I think I'd actually have an easier time getting a date.  That's pretty sad.

But hanging with them made me think of how sometimes I kind of wish I was more involved in cosplay than I am. But everytime I try it, my costume just doesn't look right or I just don't look good in it. And I only want to cosplay if I know I can do it well and pull it off. I hate those people who just like a character and put together a sloppy outfit for the heck of it. Or worse, one of those really chubby people who cosplay as a character in revealing clothing or something. (Ew!)  So I think after this year, I'm just going to stay away from cosplay unless I find a character I really like and know I can do well.

Also, I just ordered a new dress from F+F. It was kind of an impulse buy, it was a clearance item that I thought was cute and happened to be in my size, so hopefully it will arrive and be alright so I can wear it around AX. I know F+F is kind of hit-or-miss. I want to wear it as I shop for burando items~! I'd really like a nice jumperskirt, but finding one I like that will also fit me will be quite a challenge.  I have a feeling I'll be buying more punk clothes and accessories than lolita.  Oh well.

But it's getting harder and harder to save my money. I reeeeaaaaallllly wanna go on a shopping spree and I NEED new jeans. I literally have only two pairs right now, and one has a huge hole in the knee and the other pair is too big for me. I have to keep pulling them up if I'm not wearing a belt. Thankfully it's getting warmer so I can start wearing shorts and stuff, but either way, my closet is just way overdue for an update.  I've been looking at lots of fashion-oriented stuff right now.  New Zealand's Next Top Model, fashion blogs, fashion communities on LJ, pics on deviantart, etc.  It's great inspiration for keeping me on my diet, but not so great for keeping me away from my wallet. XP

And I want Urban Decay. I need it. Those eyeshadows are to die for.

Obligatory SAD Entry

Posted by Random Tuesday at 05:11 PM on February 14, 2009 Comments comments (0)

So it's SAD once again.  For those who don't know, that stands for Single's Appreciation Day or Singles Awareness Day, also more commonly known as Valentine's Day.  And as many people know, I do not have any sort of sweet hunny-bunny to share it with.  XD  Not even sure I would want to.

Last night was the Sweethearts Dance at my school.  A friday the thirteenth valentine's dance of all things.  My friend Sunny Bear, who is part of the group that was in charge of this dance, wanted to call it Bloody Hearts Dance, but apparently that idea was vetoed.   Shame really.  In any case, I didn't go.  I wasn't in a really dance-y mood and I heard it would be pretty lame.  For one thing, they were hoping to sell at least 200 tickets to make a profit and only 50 presale were sold.  Meaning that they probably sold around 70 all in all, out of our school of 1600.  You can see how much we all were looking forward to this dance.

So yeah, I sat around at home and watched Yaoi. *.*  And RPed as sex-fiend Seishirou with Schnickle-senpai as Subaru. XD

And my diet is in a bit of danger.  (Eh, in case I never mentioned it, my New Year's Resolution was to go on a diet, which has not progressed very far.)  Not that it wasn't before cuz I'm such a fatty and love food in general, but now everybody's giving me CHOCOLATE. >O  Egads, not good.  So far today I have had a bowl of cereal, m&ms, hershey's kisses, a latte, a granola bar (an Odwalla bar to be precise.  what a funky name), a doughnut, and some more chocolate. >.>

In other news, my ipod is completely kaput at this point.  Not too surprising, actually; I've had it since the seventh grade.  But it's still sad.  I'm gonna miss Geko when I finally throw it out.  But it just... *sigh* It charged for over twelve hours and barely played music for half an hour before the battery power went out.  Am currently in the process of hoping to convince my mom to buy me a new one.  Hopefully, I can get something tomorrow when we go shopping for stuffs we need.

Japan is Intense!!

Posted by Random Tuesday at 03:47 PM on January 31, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Last night I had so much fun.  I went to a concert at the Knitting Factory in LA and got to see Blood, GPKISM, DJ Sisen, and Vamp Star.  I was going to go with my friend Adrian but he got pink eye and ended up not being able to go.  I was panicking all day cuz my mom won't let me go to concerts just by myself in case something happens.  I was able to convince her though, cuz I was meeting up with friends, even though she didn't know them.  I just barely got to go. ^^

When I got there it was kind of funny.  It was  a long car drive so I had to pee really bad.  XD  But there were no bathrooms around!  The ones they had were out of order so we started wandering around in search of one and we went into this hotel but it was really weird.  All the lights were dimmed and there was almost nobody around.  Kind of creepy.  Then we found their bathrooms but they were locked. sad  So we left and wandered around some more and finally got to use one in The Coffee Bean.  Thank god.  By then it was about time for them to start letting people in so we went back to the line and got in fairly quickly.

The first act, Vamp Star, kind of sucked.  No offense to them, but they did.  At first I just thought, Oh god, I have to sit through crappy music.  THEN the CAT GIRLS came out.  Skinny asian chicks in their bras and thongs with cat ears.  Oh dear lord.  All I could do was shake my head.  An example of how bad the band was?  The final song only had one line, which they said over and over again.  "Vamp Star is sexy sexy, Vamp star is sexy sexy" etc.

Next was GPKISM.  Ken is a beautiful man and a good singer.  I liked his theatrical-ness. ^^  I also was very touched when he said one of his songs was dedicated to his best friend who had died three years ago. T.T  He was so nice.

The third act was DJ Sisen.  This dude is absolutely crazy!!!  Crazy outfit, bubble-wrap dreadlocks, and a cow umbrella.  smile  His music was like... hardcore rock pop dance alternative fetish STUFF.  There's just no explaining it.  My friends and I were dancing like crazy the entire time he was on.  It was intense, I've never danced that much in my entire life.  :P  Lots of fun.

FINALLY.  Blood comes out.  It was only Fuki and Kiwamu cuz Kaede and Ryo couldn't come (or wouldn't come?) but it was still really great.  I got up close along the side.  (Right next to the speaker.  My left ear still hasn't recovered and it's been over twelve hours.  Egads.)  I was jumping up and down and waving my arms around the entire time.  I got to touch Fuki three times! big grin  They were easily the best group there.  I enjoyed it so much.

At the end I bought the Blood Best Collection CD and got them to sign it.  It was kind of funny cuz I wanted Fuki and Kiwamu to sign the front cuz they were in the band and then have Ken and Sisen sign the back.  But after Fuki and Kiwamu gave it back to me, I went over to Sisen and he signed it, then passed it a long and Fuki and Kiwamu signed it again!  Haha, so their signatures are on the back and front. :P

I had such an amazing time, and I found out my friends were going to see An Cafe in April, so I'm gonna see if I can go too.  Yay!

So today at Japanese school it was Mitsukeyou Nihon Day. (Discover Japan)  We got to enjoy Okinawa dancing, learn a little bit of it, watch a karate demonstration, and make sushi.  And no class. smile  So that was my fun morning after the concert as my ears were still ringing.  I never knew the meaning of "ringing in your ears" until this concert.  I dunno if this is a good or bad thing.

Since Privacy Mattered

Posted by Random Tuesday at 03:39 PM on January 26, 2009 Comments comments (0)

You know, I've always wanted to have lots of friends and watchers and be somebody popular on the internet, but now I'm thinking how much I valued the privacy of being able to write whatever I want and know that nobody will care.  If there's something bothering me, I don't want my friends to worry and that includes my internet friends.  But whatever, nobody goes on this website so I guess I can write here and be safe.  Or something like that.

My new years resolution this year was to start dieting.  I think I've been doing a pretty good job, I've lost a few pounds.  I'm not exactly fat or anything, but I am at the maximum weight that can still be considered a healthy weight.  Though I have to admit... sometimes, I don't think being anorexic would be all that bad.  There's something to be admired in that sort of resolve.  I know people who are like that have psychological problems, but...  I dunno, but I think it's something beautiful, in a way.

This Friday I'm going to the Blood concert with my friend Adriane and it's his first concert. ^^  I'll probably be meeting up with Megan, Ceece, and Charleete, friends from the lolita meetup and ALA.  I hope for fun times.  I dunno what I should wear, though... >.>

All over the place I've been saying how I want a BJD.  And now i'm aiming for the LUTS Delf El.  I know exactly how I want to do his hair, and how I want to dress him, and all kinds of stuff.  But when I think about how much money he costs, I feel kind of ashamed.  There are so many people suffering in this world, not to mention the current economy.  It makes me indecisive. T.T

Christmas Break, Etc.

Posted by Random Tuesday at 04:38 PM on January 22, 2009 Comments comments (0)

I am a terrible, terrible person.  My blogs are as few as the dollars in my pocket.  (metaphorically speaking)  Anyway, it's been over a month since I last blogged about anything.  I'm sorry.  So here's what's to catch up on.

Christmas was very small, hardly worth mentioning.  I got around a hundred and fifty dollars worth of gifts--seven CDs and a few knicknacks.  Christmas Day was like all our other days except we went to church.  No big family shindigs really either.  Some relatives came by for lunch one day between Christmas and New Years, but that was the extent of our celebrations.

Christmas break in general was very laid back with a few big shindigs going about.  The first was a lolita meetup, one of the first I'd ever been to, if you don't count the G&L Bible release party.  I met lots of wonderful people and had a fun time.  I brought my friends along, but they're only sort of interested in lolita clothing so I'm not sure how much fun they had.  Also, their outfits were not quite passable, so I hope they haven't become the photos of lolita-don'ts somewhere out on the interent. :/

Then came Anime LA! big grin  That was a lot of fun, three days.  It wasn't as big or exciting or eventful as AX, but for something small it was pretty good.  I hung out with lots of friends, new and old.  Some people from the lolita meetup were there, and I feel I've now become good friends with Megan and Ceece. smile  I bought a lot of stuff.  Despite the fact that the dealer's hall was much smaller than I expected, I still managed to spend about two hundred dollars.  I dressed in lolita the first two days, my gothic lolita attire.  Though, looking at all the fun cosplayers, I wish I had gotten a C.C. outfit  (second season version) instead. sad  Oh well, I'm definitely going to be C.C. for AX.  And then the third day I dressed just normal, though kind of punk.  That was the day of the fashion show and at first I had been going to dress in something really great, but in the end I just didn't have anything I felt was good enough.  Eitherway, the show was much smaller than expected.  Megan's dresses were by far the best and I'm wishing I'd bought the skirt from her when I had the chance.  *Sigh*

Immediately after ALA, school started up again and I had to do a bunch of work and makeup stuff.  I had been absent for a week before Christmas break with strep throat and a fever.  Then life began to move again at it's same old pace.  School is so boring, I just can't focus on it anymore.  There's so much else I'd rather be doing.

I have a new interest.  BJDs!  Or ball-jointed dolls for those unfamiliar with the term.  They're so cute!  I'm saving up for the Dollzone Megi 2 Fullset.  I plan on completely customizing him with a new wig, new outfits, and eventually a new faceup.  I have a name picked out for him too.  It's Russian. big grin  I shall call him Aleksei Kazimir Kova, or just Alek for short, haha.

This week is finals week.  I'm such a horrible student.  I should be studying, but all I've been doing is drawing and thinking about BJDs.  And how to save up money for BJDs.  Ugh.  I'm probably going to fail my pre-calc final but I don't even care.

I don't care what other people think.  The internet is totally a drug.

My AMAZING Birthday!!

Posted by Random Tuesday at 09:50 PM on December 12, 2008 Comments comments (0)

Yeah, so my birthday is December 7, this past Sunday, which also happens to be the 67th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, btw.  I had the most amazing weekend evah!  Oh yesh.

It starts out like this.  Saturday morning I have Japanese School as per usual, but we do practically no work since we're preparing for this presentation thingy-ma-bob... thing.  Yep.  But my friend Rian has this extra ticket to the KIIS FM Jingle Ball because her sister was going to go but couldn't, and so she sells it to me.  At first I was kinda hesitant cuz it was 75 dollars, but then I was like What the Hell, it's my b-day weekend, so I take the offer.

After Japanese School I rush home, eat lunch, and then go to this girl scout holiday bazaar, which is basically where all the little girl scouts sell their home-made crafts or foods or cheap little gifts.  It's cute and I got a cheap scarf. ^_^  The main plus side is hanging out with my friends from girl scouts cuz we don't go to the same school or live very close by, so we don't get to see each other that often.

Then I rush home again, grab a peanut butter sandwich for my dinner, and try to get to the jingle ball in time.  There was horrible traffic though.  It took twenty minutes to move a mile, no joke, I was keeping track.  But I finally get there, just in time to catch Tokio Hotel's outside performance, WOOT!!  Then I meet up with Rian and her friend and we go inside.  Our seats weren't that great, but they weren't bad, and we got to move up a bit later on.  But Rian and her friend went to get food and of course that took a long time, so I was sitting there like a loner waiting for them to get back and texting people in the meantime.  Then the show starts up again and some boy band Menudo (Haha, men u do. XD) comes on.  They were okay, too flashy and I swear at least two of them had to be gay.  Then Rian and her friend get back just in time for Tokio Hotel, which was the main reason they came.  Though Bill was totally lip-synching.  It was obvious.

The rest of the show was AMAZING.  Robert Pattinson was there.  THE Robert Pattinson, and I ALMOST FREAKIN' TOUCHED HIM.  He walked right past our seats when he was leaving. *swoon*  Not to mention acts like Jesse McCartney and Chris Brown. *drool*  Katy Perry was exciting too, she came out in a giant banana. XD  The Pussycat Dolls were unexpectedly good as well, I had never really thought of them as actually being good singers before, I had more or less considered them to be more about their image than their music.  But those gals have some vocals! O.O  I was impressed.  And there was this one kid with Chris Brown (his name was Skooter? idk) and that kid could break dance like there was no tomorrow.  He defied physics.

There was this one part, when Akon was on, where he was talking about how he wasn't originally supposed to be there, and there was somoeone else here who was unexpected and Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" starts playing and I'm like, "Oh my God, I can't breathe" because I love Gaga like there is no tomorrow.  But then it was just Colby O'Donis.  Don't get me wrong, my love goes out to Colby, but compared to Lady Gaga... No, there is no comparison.

And that was my SATURDAY.

Sunday, my actual birthday, my mom gave me the Lolita dress I ordered from fanplusfriend and it fits me almost perfectly!  There are a few fitting adjustments with the shirt that could be better, but I'm more or less pleased with it.  Then my guests started to arrive for my party and fun times began!  I had a bag of 72 balloons and blew up all of them and so they were just lying all over my room and we started up a huge balloon fight and whenever a new guest came, we would throw balloons at them. ^_^  The rest of it was just fun times all around.  We played pin-the-mustache on the celebrity (including Paris Hilton and Miley Cyrus cuz we don't like them XP) and Clue and watched Iron man and had Pizza and Chinese food (I have this unending love for cream-cheese wontons) and a cookie cake!  Yummy!  Actually, I ate too much. Haha.

Then the guests had to leave and it was just me and the three essays I had due the next day.  Darn.  (And even after I finished them, I found out I did one of them wrong the next day.  I was pissed.)

But now it's today and I have strep throat and have been missing school and will have to make up ridiculous stuffs and am hoping I get better before Saturday because I'm going to a Christmas sleepover party. *crosses fingers*

Need to Know Info

Posted by Random Tuesday at 06:32 PM on December 03, 2008 Comments comments (0)

This site is undergoing a HUGE re-vamping.  As in, it is completely different from before.  The majority of Dragon Knights information has all been relocated to a new site which is here.

This new website is going to be really just about me.  What I do, what I'm up to, what I like.  It's good that no one actually looked at my website because that makes this switch a whole lot easier.  But, just in case there was one or two people who stumbled upon it... now you know.

Probably the biggest update as of right now is... there's pictures! 8O  Of me and stuff.  So y'all can see my cosplay, lolita, or just all around wackiness. XD
